President’s Message

Curtis Polk, President, SWMCC

Sharon Murrill

We appreciate all partners and guests who attended our Luncheon in March, as we received a great update from the Mobile Airport Authority. It was great to hear more details about the downtown airport construction as well as new direct flights being added to Dulles International Airport at the existing airport in West Mobile. Exciting times!

On March 21st, we hosted our Annual First Responders Drive-Thru Lunch. What a great opportunity for us to cheer on our First Responders and say thank you for their dedication to and protection of our communities. Each attendee was provided with a swag bag and boxed lunch. We appreciate everyone that was able to join us and help cheer them on.

It’s hard to believe that it’s already time for our April Business Luncheon. Join us on Wednesday, April 3rd, for our Business Luncheon sponsored by Keesler Federal Credit Union as we hear from Caroleene Dobson.

The annual Business Expo is also quickly approaching. It is scheduled for April 5th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. If you are interested in having a booth, please contact the Chamber office.

We are still accepting applications for our T.A.L.L. Leadership program, which is open to all local junior high school students. This is a great opportunity for students to interact with students from other schools, meet elected officials, volunteer in the community, and learn the importance of giving back. Feel free to contact the Chamber office for more information.

This month’s Coffee with the Chamber has been moved to Tuesday, April 23rd due to the Runoff Election. This event is free to attend and open to both current Chamber partners and potential partners.

We are always looking for opportunities to welcome new Chamber partners, and we welcome your help. Lots of exciting events are coming up soon and we hope you can join us. Please let us know if you have a business anniversary or any type of special event going on that you would like for us to promote. YOUR SUCCESS IS OUR BUSINESS.

“In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.” -Unknown
