13th Annual Kids Day: Saturday, July 25th
The Southwest Mobile County Chamber is excited to host the 13th Annual Kids Day on Saturday, July 25th, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Tillman's Corner Community Center, located at 5055 Carol Plantation Road in Mobile. This free community event is designed to help local children prepare for the upcoming school year by providing backpacks filled with school supplies and school uniforms to children ages 4-12 on a first-come, first-served basis.
This year's All-American theme, "Proud to Play the American Way," will feature a variety of family-friendly activities, including bouncy houses, games, food vendors, snow cone and ice cream trucks, exotic animals, wrestling demonstrations, and more than 50 vendor booths. Attendees can also enjoy the popular Beach Ball Drop at noon.
There is no pre-registration for Kids Day. Registration will take place on the day of the event beginning at 9:00 a.m. at W.C. Griggs Elementary School, located at 6001 Three Notch Road. Children ages 4-12 must be present to receive a backpack ticket, and tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
Community support plays a vital role in the success of Kids Day. The Chamber is currently accepting donations of school supplies, school uniforms, and cases of bottled water. Donations may be dropped off at the Chamber Office, located at 5055 Carol Plantation Road. Monetary contributions are also welcome and allow Chamber staff to purchase needed supplies.
